Possis Medical had outgrown their current facility and leased space in an adjacent building to accommodate displaced groups. The project presented varied challenges not the least of which were; a very tight time frame and budget. Believing that good design can be incorporated on any budget level and time frame, we went about designing a space that would convey the corporate identity through use of existing corporate colours, capitalize on the small amount of natural light available to the space through the employment of side lights, transoms and clerestories and organize the space to create appropriate perceived boundaries of smaller pieces of carpet in highly trafficked areas, hard-walled enclosures impart a private office feeling within the open office environment. With the help of PCL Construction's "Art of the Start" program, and Possis' quick decision making, the project was delivered on time and under budget.
