The existing practice was leasing a small portion
of the 6,300 square foot building and needed to expand their space. After
exploring options of purchasing land and constructing a free-standing building,
the doctors decided to buy the existing building and expand within the space. They
continued operation while the construction was in progress. The result
was a 4,800 square foot hospital and a 1,500 square foot lease space for future
expansion. The hospital won a Veterinary Economics award for efficient
operation.
